Mrs. Rhonda Allen-Lewis
Meet Rhonda Allen-Lewis -- the new principal of Belair Elementary!
Rhonda Allen-Lewis, a Jefferson City native and proud graduate of Jefferson City High School, started her educational career 23 years ago with the Jefferson City School District. She began as a third grade teacher at East Elementary, and went on to teach second and fourth grade at Thorpe Gordon Elementary. In 2018, Allen-Lewis left the traditional classroom to become the behavior interventionist at Thorpe Gordon. Since 2021, she has been an assistant principal at Lewis & Clark Middle School, where she has also served as the head
sponsor of the LCMS drama club for the past three years. Allen-Lewis earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master of education in guidance and counseling from Lincoln University and also holds a master’s degree in school administration from Grand Canyon University. She was named the JC Schools Outstanding Educator in 2009 and the Teacher of the Year in 2017. In 2022, Allen-Lewis was honored as a woman of achievement by Zonta of Jefferson City. She
currently serves as a member of the Lincoln University Alumni Council. Allen-Lewis and her husband John live in Jefferson City.
"I am passionate about building relationships with students, staff, and families, and about creating a positive and collaborative school environment,” Rhonda Allen-Lewis said. “I am eager to bring my dedication, leadership skills, and student-centered mindset to the role of principal, and I am so looking forward to getting to know and work alongside the Belair family."
